Manchester

Francis Dodd R.A. 1874-1949, was an English landscape and portrait painter, draughtsman and etcher. He attended the Glasgow School of Art and travelled throughout Europe, France, Italy and Spain, after which he returned to England and settled in Manchester later moving to Blackheath in South East London where he spent the rest of his life. He was a official War artist and became a full member of the Royal Academy in 1935.
